On-road or off, this bike delivers efficiency and speed. Salsa’s Journeyer line can pull double or even triple duty, commuting through the week, gravel riding on the weekends, and maybe even a cross event or two. This version of the Journeyer uses SRAM’s gravel focused 11-speed Apex groupset. The 1x11 drivetrain has plenty of mechanical advantage to take the edge off of steep backroads and the uphill sections of your commute. With the removal of a front derailleur there’s less maintenance and improved durability, a definite plus on rough trails. When you’re starting to gear up for bikepacking, the Journeyer’s frame has plenty of mounting points for bags and racks. And the plush 38mm tires keep the ride comfortable on paths, trails, and bike lanes that have seen better days.
