If things go abruptly sideways, this is the ace you want in your pocket. Activation is simple: deploy the antenna and press the ON button. The ResQLink 400 uses a 66-channel GPS to calculate your position within 100 metres. Transmitting on 406Mhz to the MEOSAR satellite constellation. The beacon also broadcasts a local signal on 121.5 MHz that searchers can pinpoint once they're in your vicinity.
No paid subscription is required. The only additional expense is replacing the battery every 5 years. If you need to use the ResQLink 400, ACR will replace it with a PLB of equal or greater value in return for the old beacon and your rescue story.
- Broadcasts SOS to government funded satellite networks, so there is no monthly fee
- Transmits a unique beacon identifier that you register with the Rescue Coordination Centre. This registration speeds up response time and lets SAR teams know what to look for
- MEOSAR compatibility means faster response time, an average of 46 minutes faster than previous LEOSAR beacons
- Simple 1-button operation is easy to in the worst conditions, just release the antenna and push the on/off button

- UV resistant, durable polycarbonate composite housing
- A built-in LED strobe and IR strobe help rescuers on final approach at night or in low visibility
- Batteries are tested for a ~24 hour runtime at -20°C, are good for a total of 60 self-tests/20 GPS tests, and last for 5 years on standby. Batteries should be replaced after emergency use
