This emergency transmitter provides a signal for searchers caught in secondary avalanches. If it detects that the wearer is not moving and that there is no transmitting beacon nearby, it starts transmitting on the 457kHz standard frequency. Please note, this is a transmitter only. It has no reception or search capabilities and must be used in combination with a standard avalanche transceiver.
