An onboard sensor reads the ambient light of your environment and uses that info to decide how bright your light should be. With reactive lighting you can let your headlamp pick the right mode while you stay focused on dodging roots and finding that next hold. You still get standard modes if you prefer them, and the red lighting mode is great for early starts — especially when you’re sharing a tent with those more interested in sleeping than hiking.
