Backroads and single-track on the weekend, bike lanes during the week. Whether you’re loading frame bags and bottles for a bikepacking getaway or setting out for a post-work gravel-therapy session, on the Provincial Trail ST it’s going to be a great ride. Outfitted with Shimano's GRX groupset, you get a drivetrain that is tough enough for the trail and incredibly smooth on the road. With 22 gear options at your fingertips, you can take the edge off hills and put down power whenever you like. The standard 10mm quick-release axles have been swapped out for 12mm thru-axles, reducing flex under hard braking, cornering, and accelerating, giving the bike reliable handling in all conditions. Built on the foundation of a nimble Reynolds steel frame with a stable upright geometry and grippy high-volume tires, the Provincial Trail ST shines on the rough stuff but still makes a solid weekday commuter.

  • Reynolds 520 steel frame with lowered bottom bracket for stable handling.
  • Chromoly fork is tough and has the right amount of stiffness for precise handling
  • Frame and fork are equipped with eyelets for fenders, racks, bottle cages and bag mounts
  • Internal cable routing uses alloy cable-stops that allow you to customize your setup and add a dropper post should you wish to do so
  • SRAM UDH makes repairs easier, rotates out of the way – protecting your derailleur – during an impact, has an indexing ledge to kick your chain back onto the small cog – reducing chain suck.
  • 12x100mm thru-axle fork and 12x142mm frame makes it easy to switch between these adventure-ready wheels and road-specific ones
  • Shimano 11-speed GRX 400 drivetrain pairs 46-30T chain rings with an 11-34T cassette, for fast and reliable shifts on smooth roads and rough trails.
  • Shimano GRX 400 hydraulic disc brakes provide outstanding stopping power and modulation regardless of weather
  • WTB ST i23 rims are tubeless ready and designed for the rigours of gravel grinds
  • WTB Vulpine tires are tubeless ready are a fast rolling hybrid of a race-focused cyclocross tire and a grippy gravel tire. Tightly spaced centre lugs reduce rolling resistance and encourage straight line speed, while tightly packed shoulder lugs grab in the corners and on loose terrain.
  • Fizik Terra Argo X7 is 150mm wide, has a short nose and wave profile for efficient power delivery and comfort on rough terrain
  • Part of MEC’s Provincial collection – a versatile series of bags and bikes that are just as useful on your commute, as they are on your gravel grinds and bikepacking adventures
  • Bikes are covered by MEC's Rocksolid Guarantee and Bike Service Agreement. You can bring your bike to any MEC bike shop for free adjustments and minor maintenance for a year after purchase
  • MEC bikes are designed in Canada. Everything from the frames to the graphics are developed at the MEC Head Office in Vancouver, BC
  • Due to challenges with supply chain, components may be substituted for comparable parts at any time. The listed build is how MEC intended your bike to arrive, though the manufacturer may need to make a tweak or two to get you riding sooner
