Smith has updated one of their most popular trail helmets to be safer and cooler. Equipped with the new Mips Air Node system, the Forefront 3 still protects against rotational impacts, only now you can pop out the Mips liner for easy cleaning. Redesigned ventilation channels help you keep a cool head on the trails. The impact-dampening Koroyd is still on deck and fully encompass the helmet. Channels on the front and rear house your glasses, and a 3-position visor rotates so you can wear goggles.
- Mips® Aire Node technology reduces rotational forces to the head in the event of a fall, lessening the potential damage to the brain. The Air Node system uses a liner that is custom to each helmet improving comfort and fit
- Koroyd® and EPS provide consistent energy absorption to disperse impacts in the case of an accident
- BOA® rotary dial adjustment system lets you fine tune the fit
- AirEvac ventilation system pulls warm air from in front of your face to reduce fog build-up on glasses
- 25% more airflow via the 20 vents providing breathability to keep your head cool
- 3-position adjustable visor for shading and redirecting low hanging branches
- Glasses and goggle storage under the visor
- X-Static liner pads with reactive cooling treatment helps to pull sweat away from your head
