Named after a backcountry skiing paradise near Whistler, the Joffre is Prior’s tool of choice for steep couloirs or peakbagging deep in the backcountry. With a 101mm width underfoot, the ski performs very well on steeper pitches and less accessible runs. It blends rockered powder tip and tail, traditional underfoot camber, moderately long sidecut, sweet flex, and a squared tail. The result is a ski that has a enough bite for everyday use in-bounds but has the lightness you want for long approaches and "get it done" missions.
