The Red River Gorge in eastern Kentucky is one of the best rock-climbing areas in the world. Its solid, well-featured sandstone offers steep, spectacular climbing, almost 2000 established routes, and everything from traditionally protected cracks to some of the hardest sport climbs in the US. Volume 2 covers the southern half of the Red River Gorge, over 1500 routes, including 400 new ones. The south includes popular sport crags including Muir Valley, the PMRP, and the Motherlode and Chocolate Factory and new areas including Flat Hollow, Bear's Den and New Zoo.
