Use in conjunction with SteriPEN RapidPURE vessels for an efficient water purification system. The vessel has a reflective internal surface that helps the UV light reach all the water, so shortwave ultraviolet light can work its purifying magic. When you immerse the lamp, it disrupts the DNA of bacteria, viruses and protozoa, rendering them harmless. Use the pre-filter to clear particulates and debris. And note that SteriPen is most effective with clear water. You should consider an alternate purification system if you expect muddy or silty water sources.
