The stride slider mechanism is designed to be easy to open with your thumb, but to resist being pushed or twisted open by the rope or a bolt hanger. It's a nice, natural motion for a belay carabiner. The locking mechanism is also low-profile enough to be rotated inside a hanger, a boon at awkward stations and in tight corners.
- Locking mechanism is low-profile and strong, resists 1kN of direct pressure
- Spring bar holds carabiner in place when belaying to prevent cross loading
- Keylock closure system for easier handling when clipping and unclipping
- H-profile construction reduces weight while maintaining strength
