Great wherever light is right: gram-conscious sport climbing, huge big wall racks, light alpine arsenals. All the advantages of a wire gate: less weight, less gate flutter, and more gate opening and internal volume. The only drawback is that some may find the smaller size a bit fiddly, especially with gloves on.
