Add to your slackline setup for an added safety measure. The most likely point of failure in a slackline system is where the webbing touches the bark of the tree. (You should totally use tree protectors). The tension on the line against bark can cause the webbing to fail which can launch the ratchet towards the user. The sewn fuse of this backup line engages and catches the ratchet if needed and prevents the backup webbing from being shock loaded.
