A quick and easy way to tighten lines on lighter loads without the gnarliness of knots. Clip the carabiner end into your tarp grommet, bike rack, bear bag, etc. Feed cord through the cam end, and lock it off at the desired tension. Rotating the cam releases it when you’re ready. Make a loop in the far end of the cord, clip into the carabiner, and you’ve got an adjustable tie-down to hold sleeping bags, tents, etc., to packs, racks, or paddlecraft.
