Replacement Microbiological Filter featuring new sintered polymer technology. Most filtration for waterborne parasites use a membrane to screen out the micro-organism. This membrane is rated by micron size. One micron is 1/1,000 of a millimeter; giardia is about 5 to 10 microns in size. Cryptosporidium is a tubular-shaped cyst that measures on average 3 microns by 6 microns long. This new method has been developed which falls under the heading: Tortuosity. Like its name implies, the removal of waterborne parasites is accomplished by creating a path so tortuous the microorganism becomes trapped.
- Performance: removes 99.9% or greater of cryptosporidium and giardia lambia
- Removes sediment, organic debris, and chlorine taste
- Each filter will treat up to 200 refills, 130L (depending on water quality)
- Pristine Water Treatment may also be added to the water for treatment against bacteria and viruses
