While the individual polyester fibres of fleece absorb little moisture, fleece’s knitted construction can retain a lot of water, especially in wet and humid conditions. Polar Proof is a water-based treatment that uses a patented water-repellent elastomer, which reduces water absorption, minimizes weight gains, and maintains the insulating properties of fleece. Pre-wash with Tech Wash or other mild soaps.
